Lorraine is a qualified Speech and Language Therapist with over 20 years’ experience working with children and adults with communication and feeding difficulties. She has worked primarily in the public sector, supporting people with disabilities and their families. Lorraine understands just how important early intervention is, and the need for children to the get the right help, at the right time in the right place. It was with this motivation that Lorraine set up Fernhill Therapy Centre in 2021, with the aim to give children access to the therapies they need in a child-friendly environment. 

Lorraine is qualified as a Lámh Tutor, and has delivered dozens of Lámh training courses for teachers/nurses/care assistants/SNAs, and families over the last 20 years. She has training in Hanen It Takes Two to Take and More Than Words. She has PECS training, and completed training in ADOS assessment for the diagnosis of Autism. 

Sarah is a graduate of the BSC Speech and Language Therapy Program at the University of Galway. She has experience working in a variety of clinical settings, including paediatric disability, adult disability, paediatric primary care and acute hospital settings and supporting teaching staff in specialised preschools and primary schools.

Sarah has experience working with a diverse range of client groups including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, language delays, developmental delays, learning difficulties and Speech sound disorders. Sarah is a qualified Lámh Family Trainer, and has also trained in PECS, Speech Sound Disorders, and Gestalt Language Processing. She is formally trained in the assessment and management of Feeding, Eating, Drinking and Swallowing Disorders.

Sarah is passionate about involving the families and those important to the child in the assessment and treatment process. Sarah is committed to providing a high quality client centred service. She really enjoys working with children of all ages and their families. Sarah’s qualification is recognised by the regulating Health and Social Care Professional body (CORU).

Hannah has a Masters qualification in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Limerick, having previously obtained a Degree in Linguistics and Modern Irish from University College Dublin. Hannah’s main experience is with children with a range of developmental speech and language difficulties, and children with communication difficulties associated with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Hannah has completed training in Lámh, AAC, Speech Sound Disorders and Gestalt Language Processing (GLP). Hannah is passionate about working with Autistic children and their families. She is committed to providing a high quality service for those attending the centre, and puts energy and fun into her sessions. Hannah’s qualification is recognised by the regulating Health and Social Care Professional body (CORU).

Eimear is a graduate of the BSc Clinical Speech and Language Studies programme in Trinity College Dublin.

Eimear has experience working with adults and children with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties and children with autism spectrum disorder.

Eimear completed her undergraduate thesis on the benefits of collaborative speech and language therapy and music therapy intervention for the speech, language and communication development for children with autism. This project looked at the positive aspects of this collaboration, particularly the positive influence of music in therapy, which Eimear incorporates into her practice.

Eimear has completed additional training in Gestalt Language Processing (GLP), Lámh, AAC and Word Aware for vocabulary development.

Eimear is passionate about working with children and their families in a client centred approach. She is committed to providing a high-quality service and strives to create a fun and enjoyable atmosphere in all her sessions.

Eimear’s qualification is recognised by the regulating Health and Social Care Professional body (CORU).

Olivia is a graduate of the BSC Clinical Speech & Language Studies at Trinity College Dublin. She has experience working in paediatric primary care & disability settings as well as adult acute hospital settings.

Olivia has experience working with speech, language and feeding, eating, drinking and swallowing (FEDS) disorders. Olivia is trained in Lámh and has experience working with other forms of AAC.

Olivia is passionate about providing individualised SLT services to children and their families. She enjoys working with children of all ages aiming to make sessions fun and engaging for all clients.

Olivia’s qualification is recognised by the regulating Health & Social Care Professional body (CORU).
